Carmela Granata-Bernacchio, MS, SLP-CCC has a BA degree in Early Childhood Education, an MS degree in Speech/Language Pathology. She was awarded a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Pathology, is a Licensed Teacher, a Licensed Teacher of the Speech/Hearing Handicapped, a Certified Orofacial Myologist and is a Licensed Speech/Language Pathologist.
Carmela is Hannen Certified as a parent educator. She is also the director of P.A.C.E. (Parent And Child Education, Inc.), a not for profit organization which provides parenting workshops and seminar programs throughout the state. She is a provider for parent education for the Department of Mental Health, school districts, family court and on a private basis.
Carmela is a member of the Advisory Board for the Max Foundation, a member of the Community Advisory Board for Child
Abuse Prevention Services, member of the Site Based Team at Hampton Street School, Mineola School District and a Representative of the Council of Early Childhood Recognition. She is currently serving her second term as President of the Mineola Chamber of Commerce and volunteers in numerous community service projects.
In her twenty-eight years in the field she has experience in both mainstream and special educational school settings as a Classroom Teacher, a Resource Room Teacher and a Speech/Language Pathologist. She owned and directed a successful Early Childhood Center for eight years and is currently the director of Humanistic Consultants, Inc., (a comprehensive learning center) which has offices in Mineola and Port Washington, NY.
