Peter Gollobin has been the owner and CEO of MEDIpoint, Inc. and MEDIpoint International, Inc. for 32 years, and is also the owner/CEO of FirstLine Medical Supplies, Inc. located in Mineola New York, MEDIpoint manufactures over 50 million sterile medical devices a year, selling them in fifty-six countries worldwide.  In addition to being the CEO, Peter is also a precision machinist and tool & die maker and designs and builds most of the automation machinery at MEDIpoint.

Peter has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, and holds four patents for medical devices, with two more patents pending. He has been a Professional Member of The Society of Plastic Engineers since 1981.  Previous to MEDIpoint, he was a Project Engineer for Johnson & Johnson and worked in the Cold Strip Mill at Bethlehem Steel.  Peter worked for years with the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center Department of Epidemiology designing safety medical devices and has just completed developing a new medical device with research scientists of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service at their Plum Island Animal Disease Center.  Peter was awarded the 2005 Federal Laboratory Consortium's
'Excellence In Technology Transfer' award for his work in developing a better method for drawing blood from mice used in research.  Peter was also awarded the 2005 Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service's 'Technology Transfer Award' for developing technology that advances the more humane treatment of laboratory animals.

Peter was elected President of the Mineola Chamber of Commerce for three years from 1994 to 1997 and has been elected to the Board of Directors every year since 1989.  He has been the Editor of the Chamber's monthly newsletter 'The Bulletin' for the past sixteen years, is chairperson of the Chamber's Beautification Committee and has been a co-chairperson and Master of Ceremonies of the annual Mineola Fair for the past fifteen years.  He has been Secretary of the Second Street Business Association since 1979.  Peter was voted Mineola Businessperson of the Year in 1991 and received the New York State Senate achievement Award that same year, was awarded the Key to the Village of Mineola in 1995 and made an 'Honorary Citizen of Mineola' in 1996.  He received The United States Congress 'Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition' in May of 1997.  Over the years he has received seven additional proclamations from the Office of the Mayor of the Village of Mineola, four citations from the Nassau County Legislature, six citations from Nassau County Executive Thomas Gulotta, and two New York State Senate Proclamations.  Peter is on the board of directors of P.A.C.E. (Parent And Child Education) Organization, is a member of the Parent Education Community Action Board, and on the Board of Directors of the Islip Horseman's Association.

Peter was a professional skier for eight years, was the Assistant Director of the Ski School at Davos Ski Area in Monticello, NY, rides and jumps horses, and loves to fish.  An avid singer, guitar player, and songwriter, with sixty-four copywrited original songs, Peter writes all the music for, and is the leader of, the Rock 'n Roll musical group, 'The Early Bird Special.'  Peter has also been involved for ten years with 'The Yellow Cote Players' theater group where he acts, sings, is responsible for special effects, helps build sets, and does some choreography.

Peter has three daughters and lives on 2.5 acres in Matinecock, Long Island, where he is restoring a two hundred-year-old estate house and property.
